Some Tips For Cooking Beef:
Hamburgers:
• Our hamburger patties make great quick and easy meals. Hamburger patties can be cooked directly out of the freezer on a hot skillet or
grill.
Steaks:
• Steaks can be grilled, broiled, or cooked on the stovetop. When cooking on the stovetop, use a heavy skillet with oil and cook covered, over low to medium heat.
• To defrost a frozen steak, leave in refrigerator overnight. To marinate a frozen steak, place frozen meat in marinade in a sealed container in the refrigerator and allow to defrost and marinate at the same time.
• Any steak can be cooked straight out of the freezer. Cook meat covered, slowly, at low to medium heat. We have found that cooking steaks in this way in no way changes the taste or texture of the meat.
Roasts:
• Most roasts should be cooked in the oven at 300-350 degrees F.
• The easiest way to cook a roast to the doneness you desire is to use an oven thermometer (see doneness guide). Remember to let roasts set for 15-20 minutes after removed from the oven before serving. During this time, the temperature of the roast will continue to rise 5-10 degrees, so be sure to take this into account when deciding when to take the roast out of the oven. |
